- Roles & Responsibilities
- Policy Content: McCormick strives to provide a zero-harm workplace that prevents injuries and illnesses. McCormick believes that every employee has a personal and collective responsibility to follow safe working practices to achieve a safe and healthy workplace. To that end, McCormick commits to:
- Promote a positive and proactive safety culture;
- Provide a common framework for safety and health management at all levels within McCormick, which adopts and supports best practice;
- Minimize or eliminate adverse safety and health hazards associated with our products, services and operations to prevent and reduce occupational safety and health risks;
- Comply with legal, regulatory and McCormick safety and health requirements everywhere we operate;
- Provide our employees with the awareness, skills and knowledge to carry out this Policy;
- Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve our performance in safety and health;
- Consult with and encourage participation of our employees, suppliers and contractors to enhance safety and health performance; and
- Allocate appropriate resources to ensure the effective implementation of this Policy.
These Policy commitments will only be achieved through leadership and ownership of these issues by all McCormick personnel. All employees are accountable for their role in meeting these commitments.
